quote in there?
- Do you have a clear thesis that informs
the audience to do something?
- Do you mention your audience in that
thesis?
Body:
- Do you have a clear topic sentence for
each body paragraph?
- Do you have at least one direct quote
in each paragraph?
- Did you properly set-up your
quotations?
- Did you “cite” the quotations making it
easier for the test assessor?
- Did you inform the reader of the
quote’s importance to your argument?
- Did you wrap up your paragraph with a
closing statement?
- Do you mention your audience in each
paragraph?
Conclusion:
- Did you rehearse your thesis?
- Do you have a fact, direct, or indirect
quote in there?
- Do you have a clear call to action?
- Did you thank your audience by name?
- Did you politely sign off?
Holistic Overview:
